Airbus has secured a new order for its A220 series, another solid commitment emphasising the importance of such a plane in recent history as the preferred narrowbody choice for airlines worldwide and ruling in a market typically uncontested from Boeing, with competition only generally coming from Embraer. 🔔 Become a member: 🤍bit.ly/DjsMembership 🌐 Subscribe to GlobeTrotting: 🤍bit.ly/SubscribeGlobeTrotting CONNECT WITH US 🐦 Twitter: 🤍twitter.com/DjsAviation 👥 Facebook: 🤍🤍facebook.com/djsaviation/ 💬 Discord: 🤍🤍discord.gg/aviation 💻 Patreon: 🤍🤍patreon.com/djsaviation BUSINESS ENQUIRIES 📧 Email: contactdjsaviation🤍gmail.com CHECK OUT THE PODCAST 🎙️ Spotify: 🤍bit.ly/DjsAviationPodcast 🎙️ Apple: 🤍bit.ly/DjsPodcastApple = ℹ️ MORE INFORMATION ℹ️ 🤍creativecommons.org/ Licensed under CC-BY-SA 2.0 - Airbus Mediaroom 🎵 OUTRO TRACK 🎵 Krys Talk - Fly Away [NCS Release] Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds. 🤍🤍youtube.com/watch?v=LfDfb-87F_s&ab_channel=NoCopyrightSounds Free Download / Stream 🤍ncs.io/flyaway THANK YOU TO MY PATRONS Ian Watson, Jam, Don Gortner, Brandon Fortino, Nick Circosta, 747forever, Robin Capper, GREGORY J FEAZELL, Mike Olague, Thomas Webster, Brad Feldmen, Ash Stanley, Shoaib Quader, Al Gamiochipi, Robert Goldwein, Neil Macedo, Jeffrey Poe, Cal McWeeney, Michael Cairl, Joel, Amelia Ross, Marshall C Brown, Jermaine Hammond, Lloyd Armstrong, Robbie Phillips, Cal Stephens, James Johnson #aviation #news #europe #a220 #croatia #flight #aircraft #avgeek #airplane #airlines #airport #planespotting #airbus #boeing
Instead of trying to produce a competitor to the Bombardier A220 Boeing LIED, yet again, and tried to Bankrupt the company BOEING Management FAILED. Then Boeing tried the same thing with Embardier, almost destroying that company, another Boeing Cock Up. Then we have the Max Murders. Boeing are the MASTERS of Cock Ups. Boeing is now, illegally, subsidised by DoD orders for the ANCIENT F-15 as a way to Attempt to Break the WTO Agreement. That may be costly since Airbus could ask Boeing to PAY BACK in a single lump sum ALL of Airbus agreed Fine. Boeing is the most amateur management in any major company, in any sector, in the Western World.
Great news,i as croatian was disappointed couple of years ago when they cancelled their A320 neo order.
Great news for the A220. This aircraft will end up selling in the thousands. Would fly from Croatia to anywhere in Europe. The cargo hold capacity of the A220, incidently, is not far short of the A320 and significantly more than the A319, which I believe Croatia currently fly.
787 is for long haul,737 for medium range haul,
I love the a220, and I love to see it flourishing in the industry finally. Hope to maybe fly it someday!
Does it have an airbus style cockpit? Or is it like bombardier, but still similar to the traditional a320 cockpits?
I really like this aircraft and hope to see lots more of them ordered. As someone whos nearest airport is very small, these bring a refreshing upgrade from ERJs
Boeing wanted to kill Bombardier Cseries. Today Boeing is dying slowly but surely.
I just google Croatia Airlines and they have 4 years in a row of negative income, maybe because is 98% state owned. If I worked on Airbus, I wouldn't be so enthusiastic.
As a steward who has worked both the A220 and the Boeing Max, I will take the A220 hands down. Great aircraft (except for the FA jump seat at doors 2) for both passengers and crew.
Bombardier was prescient when they designed and built the "A220". Its a shame Boeing forced Bombardier to sell it to Airbus but it seems the shotgun wedding is working out really well. Airbus has a marketing presence and financial strength Bombardier could never approach.
As a tourist country I don't see how will this fit in there route network. Ryanair is killing them in Zagreb. Great plane, but is is best for Croatia Airlines - I am not sure.
Nice!
I keep hoping that Croatia Airlines would start to fly to Budapest - it is extremely difficult to fly from Hungary to our neighbor, Croatia.
the A220-300 should be rightful replacement for all legacy A319 & A320-200 . . . infact the A320-200 Neo is no longer viable when you have the A321-200 Neo . . .
Cancelled the the 320 neo order, for the 220..!!..
Should have mentioned that . though.. One AB for another ...all good.
Airbus buying of what is now the A220 must be one of the best deals in recent aviation history. A 220-500 could possibly replace the A320.
I’m not surprised. Croatia gets the Euro in January. That will make it a lot easier for tourists from the other Eurozone countries and therefore likely increase tourist volume over the next few years. If anything those planes will almost be a little late, or what’s the waiting period for an A220 today?
I have flown on this aircraft several times and it truly excellent.
